It was inaugurated in 1896 and since then this Riojan wine cellar has been faithful to its history yet at the same time renewing itself. Paternina has always strived to obtain the highest quality, and one of its main objectives is respecting the environment by integrating Quality and Environment in its daily management. $ 16.99 Cruz De Alba Crianza Ribera del Duero - Cruz de Alba, is biodynamically produced, which implies using natural products and following a lunar calendar to pick grapes, prune the vineyard, blend, age and bottle. The result is a fantastic-value wine. The nose displays lots of blackberry, licorice, white flowers, black pepper and smokey oak. Medium bodied on the palate with more classic tempranillo notes of leather and herbs framing a bit of crushed red and black fruit. $ 14.99 El covento Grenache/Carignare Priorato - Priorat is rugged and mountainy with the vineyards cut into the hills like giant staircases. The wine is a blend of Grenache, carignan, cabernet, and syrah. You will notice a good deal of minrality along with vanilla and toast. The fruits are all dark and out in front. This is a more fruit forward style wine, not the old rustic style. $ 29.99 Nicholas Catena Zapata 2007 - Rated 90 points, Robert Parker Wine Advocate. “... A glass- coating opaque purple color, it displays an enticing nose of wood smoke, eucalyptus, tobacco, cassis, and black currant. Medium-bodied and elegant, it has intense red and black fruit flavors, good integration of oak, tannin, and acidity, excellent depth, and a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. It will evolve for 2-3 years but can be enjoyed now.” Regular Price $125.99 $ale Price $99.99 Save $26.00 Jordan Russian River Chardonnay - Jordan winery is well known for making fine wine from California.
